Constipated

I’m severely constipated and waiting anxiously for this laxative to take some kind of effect. Maybe I’ll go to bed soon.
That is all.

Yesterday I got home pretty late and didn’t eat until midnight. I was way too tired to turn on my laptop.
We did our choreography for Joyful Joyful (look up the ‘hip hop’ version on YouTube from Sister Act II and you’ll see what we’re trying to achieve) and it’s coming along pretty well. I think.
My worst enemy is my period. Suprisingly, this month it didn’t hurt so much at the very beginning. It was almost bearable but I still took Aleve anyway. Now it’s getting somewhat as awful as it normally gets and all the pain killers of the world can’t get rid of the pain.
Last night I also promised A Guy (go read my livejournal to hear about him that I’d do something with him for his performance. I have to play the role of his mother and it’s set in Medieval Britain. *Drools*

I’m so tired but it’s NaBloPoMo…figured I’d summarise my day quickly.
-Spent most of it in bed because my ankles, legs and feet were killing me.
-Found cool shit on YouTube
-GOT A SOLO FOR THE CONCERT! (Will explain tomorrow!)

This month I am particpating in National Blog Posting Month. This is my first time and I have no idea how it’ll go. I started a bit late (because yesterday was Nov 3rd I consider that my first day) but that’s okay, right?
I really need to kick this habit I have of posting right after midnight. It confuses the fuck out of me because *technically* even though today is Tuesday I still feel like it’s Monday and later today I’ll post thinking that I didn’t do a post for today. Hopefully once I finally commit to a proper schedule of sleep I can get over that.
Lately I’ve been having pains in my teeth. Things like ice cold or hot drinks hurt my front teeth *shudders* and chewing gum isn’t a fun activity anymore. I think I’m going to start using that Sensitive Teeth formula from Colgate (comes in a pink tube) and I’ll see what happens.
Happy voting, everyone! Make the choice YOU want to make!

Saturday night, instead of going to rehersal (and not calling or texting to say I’d be absent…bad girl!) I put on something nice and took my ex out to see Lakeview Terrace. Samuel L Jackson stars in it and there are some other familiar faces in it as well. I think it was produced by Will Smith, but I have yet to verify this.
**SPOLILER WARNING!**
Anyway, Samuel Jackson plays Abel, a widower and Los Angeles Police Department cop. He seems nice at first but as the movie progresses you catch a glimpse into how slightly demented (for lack of a better word he is). He seems to be a good father to his son (7 or 8?) and his angsty 15 year old daughter.
A married couple, a white man and a black woman, move in to one of the vacant houses. At first everything is okay but it becomes apparent to both of them that Abel has some kind of vendetta against them. At the very end when Abel is shot by some cops, it turns out when his wife died she was driving with her boss, a white man, when she supposedly should have been at work.
I guess he was dealing with both her loss and the fact that she may have been cheating on him. (With a white guy.)
I thought it was a good movie and Sam Jackson put on a very good performance. It also touched a raw nerve for me because I remembered the responses James and I got from black people, particularly black men. We would be in public holding hands and someone would yell, ‘I bet whitey can’t do it like me!’ or ‘I bet he has a 3 inch prick.’ Abel did say some things to imply that he disliked the idea of a white guy and a black woman together. But let me not go on anymore…
I’m in the process of cleaning my room. I have alot to do still but it’s coming along. My sink is clean for the first time in ages and there’s NOTHING under my bed! Maybe I’ll upload pics when I’m done.
And on a very happy note, I got a good night’s sleep both on Saturday and Monday night!
And before I go, here’s something to make you laugh:
