I Need Rest, Please.

October 14th, 2007 by Lou

Wow…have I really been that busy?

Work has been very stressful, and I’m patiently waiting for my next salary to reach the bank. Aside from that there’s my audition for COSTAATT next month (College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad & Tobago). I applied to do their music program, and my audition is next month. (Excuse the repetition.) Also orchestra is taking up my time too. This leaves me with little or no free time to do whatever, but I still try my best to frequent Project Sex and Ecstasy.

What has been becoming more and more alarming are these pains I get in my wrists. I always had a problem with percussion and my hands, but now the pain is getting more intense and more common. I can’t type too much or else they start to hurt, and once that happens practicing is out of the question. Of course, I usually get all my practice done before I relax for the evening but still. There’s a physiotherapist I’m supposed to call. He’s going to examine my hands and tell me what’s up. I’m guessing I should have some x-rays done too, but that can wait once the therapist actually asks for it. The best thing is that he makes house calls, so it beats having to find his office.

But my health is in a state. Constant body aches and pains, constant headaches, I’m always stiff, always tired and I feel really run down. I’ve finally gotten around to finding a Doctor to be my GP again. I haven’t actually seen him yet but I should some time this week. My mother has been on my case to do so, because she’s worried that I’m seriously ill.

Good luck with your interview!! :)

It sounds like you might have either gotten Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) in your wrists (look it up on Wikipedia!) or maybe you have early onset arthritis (also look up on Wikipedia), but I’m no doctor and you’re doing the right thing in getting it checked out!

So you’re surviving this. :( I hope it gets better for you soon or at least manageable so that you can function. ?

I wonder if you have some form of carpal tunnel.
